After something of a rocky start, Marvel Television's writers realized they had to principally focus on character arcs rather than spectacle. Instead, they were left with the properties Marvel Studios had passed up on - characters like Deathlok, Cloak and Dagger, and the Runaways. Marvel Television always played second-fiddle to the films, and that meant their shows didn't get A-list superheroes like Captain America, Doctor Strange, or Black Panther.
